A breath of fresh air Covid-19 Secure risk assessment

A breath of fresh air is a free, weekly walk for pregnant people and new parents and their babies.  We generally meet outside the Children's Centre, Skilling Hill, Bridport, Dorset every Thursday at 10.30am and walk for about 45 minutes around Bridport's green spaces before stopping for refreshments.

Following the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 we have started meeting again. The following risk assessment was carried out to be adhered to by all participants.

All walkers must give contact details to walk leader – this may be used for track and trace

  • All walkers must adhere to the social distance guidelines of 1m, and where possible babies and children should be supported to socially distance.

  • Walkers should avoid touching other people’s babies and children.

  • By coming to the walk, you are agreeing to the risks of walking in a group.

  • By bringing your child to the walk, you are agreeing to the risks of proximity to a group.

  • If you feel unwell you MUST NOT attend the walk.

  • Please bring your own personal drink and refreshments. Please clean your hands with antibacterial gel before eating or drinking.

  • Please be aware of other pedestrians and give them 1m clearance when passing.

  • If you feel unwell during the session, please tell the walk leader.

  • If you become unwell after attending the walk, please tell the walk leader.

  • Please don’t ask others to handle your belongings e.g. bag/ pushchair
